Hello everybody, I’ve done quite a bit of searching on this but haven’t found too much info, especially with photos. I am wanting to add some additional lights to my truck as well as the headlight relay mod and maybe some other fun electrical projects down the road. I really prefer things to look as clean as possible so I bought an auxiliary “marine” style fuse block to keep all of this new wiring together and off of the battery cables/terminals. Thing is, I cannot figure out where to put it. I’ll be using several relays too. The only logical place I see as a possibility is on the passenger wheel well but my voltage regulator and low vacuum switch are located there so I’ll have to work around that. I thought about maybe behind the seat in the cab (single cab) but I’m not sure there are good wire ways out of the cab back there without drilling. I’m sure you guys have encountered this and I’m just looking for ideas, thanks.

What about making a bracket for the fuse box that holds it either upright or spaces it above the regulator and low vacuum switch? You could probably relocate one of them if it'll help.

Yea I’ve definitely thought about that. Making an “L” shaped bracket that screws to the fender on the short side and provides a stable platform for a fuse box. Only thing to consider is the hood hinge assembly - it comes down by the fender quite a bit I believe.

Someone installed one to the right of my gas pedal (fuel pedal???) That was for the electric seats they added. Was just two self tapping screws holding it in. Not a bad spot. Unless there is stuff there on your truck.

I added one on the passenger side on passenger left up under the black plastic panel. The was a perfect little spot to put one and the insulation seemed to have a perfect size precutout built in. Itdoes push the plastic shield out a little in front of the floor vent. That said I put that in for interior accessories. I also have a small one for my headlight relays and a couple of other exterior accessories mounted to one of the relay studs. It a little marine stud mount 4 fuse deal and fits really well. I'm a little concerned about longterm durability with that style mount but it has been good for a couple of years now.

I've got an added on box on the passenger side just behind the battery. A friend of mine had a spare piece of steel to make the bracket and it gives me electrical space to wire in anything I wish to add, like better gauges or a radio that works.

So does the that box have mounting feet on the side? I like that a lot. That still box has fuses and relays right?

I added one under the dash above the fuel pedal. I ran a single feed wire on a 60 amp fuse through the firewall then into my fuse panel before running up to toggle switches on the dash.

Any chance you could snag a pic of the setup with the plastic removed? Don’t worry about it if it’s a lot of trouble.

Here you go. You may notice a lack of fuses in it since I haven't actually wired anything into it yet. The backup camera is the only other in cab project I got to this year and it is power by the tail lights.

This is my current setup
Using a 94 f150 factory fuse box(all those fuses I put there and rewired the box specifically for them)
A 200amp constant duty solenoid and a 88 f250 firewall bulkhead connector in addition to the factory one for all of my accessories that run thru the firewall

How does your current setup attach to the truck? I don’t see the vacuum canister in that setup.
