eBay turbo cartridge

does anybody have any experience with this turbo cartridge they sell on eBay. Suppose to be pretty much bolt in and come balanced. Damn near the only one I can find ready to go like this.

I wouldn’t bolt that onto my engine, things could get expensive quick. Just for reference, a quality Garrett bearing housing is $100 by itself, so how are they making money including a bearing housing, seals and bearings, new compressor wheel, shaft and turbine, balancing the assembly and shipping it to you? The answer is poor quality knock off Chinese parts.

I’m sure @typ4 can get you a quality chra, and I can get you one as well, it won’t be $200, but it won’t come apart and eat your engine.

I figure that the "NOS" part would be advertised in bold print right by the picture if it really was NOS.

Chinese junk ,the compressor Wheels have a ball in the nut side because they can't get the center of moment correct. They can and have been known to blow up the compressor wheel. Some people have run them, it's not something I'm going to take a chance on.

$2300? For that, I'll bet I could have you get me a complete, used Factory Turbo kit, use the original turbo as a core, and then add in your upgraded turbo. So why in the world would I want to pay that much for just a turbo?

I'll agree with that. A rebuilt one is just as good. Besides, these trucks aren't exactly in the collector class yet. Not like a '59 Chevy Apache or a '56 F150 for examples.
