for the fact of being different I suppose, and I can get with it... but twins is a lot of fun!
Since I just had to replace my thermocouple a few months ago:
The probes come with wires(all one piece ready to go) and generic K-type thermocouples are only about $14 shipped on Amazon. So a dual setup would only cost $14 more than the gauge difference.
As said you only need 1 for your setup unless you have a significant injector issue. Would still be cool!
When compared to the stock exhaust, it will flow better since there's no restriction. It should help to keep your EGTs down a little but too. Don't expect a huge power gain though. So in reality besides a noise maker what's the beinifits of straight pipe exhaust with no turbo?
I'm 53 years old but still have a tough of teenager in me so yes it's a noise maker. So in reality besides a noise maker what's the beinifits of straight pipe exhaust with no turbo?

I also like building stereo systems that will keep up with the kids.
My 19yo gets jealous of my stereo in my other pickup cause if I turn it up my bass will hit harder than his. I just don't turn the subs up that high.
I live away from any cities and neighbors are not an issue as we are spaced out a bit.eh I was just curious was all I'm all into noise makers had a "00 cavalier with straight pipes with a 4.2l rs motor, was not sure with out a turbo what beinifits a n/a had with them besides ******* off the neighbors.

It will give it more power. It may be as little as a couple horsepower. The better throttle response is a plus for sure. The main thing is that you're happy with it. A little advice. Since it appears that your stacks are open at the top, you may want to put flappers on them or put some small holes in the bottoms of the pipes at the lowest point in the exhaust. In theory, if there was a monsoon, water could back all the way up to your engine and actually go into a cylinder or two through the open valves if the engine's not running. The water could also build up over time it you didn't run the engine for a while. I saw a truck with open stacks and small holes in the pipes. I absolutely HATED the sound the exhaust made coming out of those holes, but it would have done the trick. It sounds very healthy and did give a much better throttle response from what it previously had. As stated I cannot tell if there is more power but I've never had a load on it since I've owned it so I may never really know.

Had a guy at work who did that to his Cummins, it wasn't bad driving but sitting there idling the clattering flaps got old real fast lol!
