I have owned this '85 F350 6.9 IDI for almost 2 yrs. I have absolutely fallen in love with it despite its flaws. It just needs a bit more power for pulling my '24 enclosed trailer. I have added a Road Range gear splitter, and that overdrive sure helps alot.

As of today, it has just under 120,000 miles on it.

donor f150 for the fenders and hood.beds rusted so my beds still messed up. Still torn between cummins swapping it or building a 7.3 for it

I've always wanted to add those side handles like on @FrozenMerc truck above, but I wonder if there is anything different behind the outside of the truck to reinforce someone grabbing the handles where they mount..

I wish they were easier to come by and not so crazy expensive.

Ya'll need to think more outside the box sometimes.

Marine bow rails were around a long time before they started using those parts on trucks.
I took mine off my old boat, I didn't want the bow rails on it anyway. LOL
I'd take a picture, but they are still in a box somewhere from the move.
Same as the one I'm linking, but with a 4-hole mounting base, even matches the original mounting holes on my truck.
