    spindle nut nub broke off

    So I'm putting my truck back together, and the little nub or teat on the first spindle nut breaks off, what the heck. I was so close to being finished. I don't see the lock nut with the nub on napa, even the set doesn't look like it's there. Is this a critical part?

    seal number for d-50 front passenger axle slip joint

    Napa say they don't have a reference for it. this is the seal that is on the end of the slip joint at the middle u-joint. it is under the boot between the middle u-joint and the outer u-joint. Can find a reference # from any supplier. The original ford number is 4a460.

    Uni-matic U-joint tool

    Have any of y'all seen this U-joint tool? I just bought it, it was made in 1960 I hope it'll work on my middle u-joint, in truck. Figured for $15 plus shipping I'd give it a shot...... The claw is reversible for different sized u-joints.

    If I buy the LUK flywheel and clutch kit separately, are the bolts included?

    I'm on parts geek buying the clutch kit (luk global #)631 3091 00 and flywheel 416 0096 10, it is $50 cheaper than buying it in kit 601 0037 00 which has everything included for the conversion. the only thing I see missing when buying them separately are the flywheel and pressure plate bolts...

    7.3 loud thumping at start up.

    If I leave the 93 na f-250 sit overnight in the cold, and I go to start it, it has a horrible thumping noise for about a second or two then the truck sounds normal for the rest of the day. It will only do this if it has been sitting over night or longer. It was so loud today I my son jumped away...

    I've heard this is possible without taking the front cover off, I don't see how. Have any of yall done it? Doing the outers is simple enough but as far as I know all dana 50's have the inner shaft held in place by a c clip inside the differential.
