So I am in the middle of my engine and zf5 swap into my 1990 f350.

As I am buttoning everything up, I discover a sensor that isn't on my 7.3L idi with the zf5.

However the engine/e4od that came out of the truck, has a throttle position sensor mounted on the injection pump.

Is it safe to assume I can just leave the wire unplugged and not install the tps on the engine attached to my new zf5? I tried searching on here but didn't come up with much of anything. I also used the manual transmission harness out of the donor truck.

Thanks

I had to steal a wiring harness from an automatic in my back yard and leaving that unplugged is exactly what I did. No effect whatsoever. Been like that for 2 years. On that note, beware your glow plugs harness. Reason for replacement was I caught fire trying to go home from work. What them two big yellow wires that power your gp relay. I got lucky my truck didn't turn crispy critter 126 miles from home.
