I know it should have ATF.
just wondering how to or should I flush it some how??
Drove it for an hour or so,, actually seemed ok.

I have had 3 different types of oil in mine, experimenting trying to lessen the noise. It now has the original spec atf, I had no problems just changing oil and putting the other in it's place. The ATF will cut most oils down and dissolve them. The ATF is the best for shifting in cold weather, and the noise also. Raising the idle rpm gets rid of the noise, and the ATF lets the engine get to the higher idle rpm quicker when it's cold.

I wouldn't do a "flush change." The little residual wont be enough to matter.
Don't just get any ole cheap atf. Get what it calls for. (Mercon v rating)
