Can someone answer me this? Do you know what the ZF 5-speed for the 7.3 diesel is worth??

I paid $500 for a ZF that was in need of a rebuild, about a year ago. I think it was a fair price, and about in line with the market value.

I don't know what the price for a "good used" or a "rebuilt" ZF would be, though...

a good rebuilt one goes for anywhere round $1,200-2,000 and dont quote me but i would guess a good used would go for round $700-1,200

Exekiel-

Are you talking 5 or 6 speed? it looks like I can get a 6 speed + core + ship for ballpark $2000 :Sly :puke:

The one I saw on ebay was a 5spd but this guy (I think he is a ex-ford tech from PA) have any zf tranny you want and I don't think he wants a core but it was a couple months ago so I can't remember.

Just be sure you know that the ZF-6 isn't a bolt in. If you want a cool project that's the one, but that's what it might turn into. Jaybee over on that other diesel site did it to his '91. Be a good way to keep those RPMs in the sweet spot all the way up to faster than good sense dictates that one should drive in an F-series pickup.
