I'm doing an 8 lug upgrade on the Moosestang, and I need parts from a 1975 to 1987 Chevy C-20 or C-30 4X4. If you have the axle, the parts I need could be shipped, as I do not need the housing. Basically everything from the knuckles out and the drive axle stubs.

Just went and looked, the axle is out of a 70's Chevy 3/4 ton, I think it is a 10 bolt not a dana. If that will work let me know. One axle shaft is missing, both knuckles, spindles/rotors and steering link are there.

I was thinking that the knuckles were the same from a 10 bolt to dana, its been so long I cant remember
Of all my old 3/4 ton chevy/gmc trucks I only ever seen 2or 3 that had dana 44's that 10 bolt is real comon for some reason
There is a lot of confusing information on the web about how to go about it, but this article is the one I trust for having the best and most acurate how-to. Take a look at it, and you'll be able to see exactly what parts I need. If this matches up with what you have Steve, then that would be excellent.

So your planning on using all the GM brakes/spindle/hub with the Ford knuckle? Am I reading that right? My question is, Why cant you put a Ford 3/4 ton knuckle and hub onto the Ford 1/2 ton axle?

Mel, surf fullsizebronco forum, specifically the SAS section tons of info about 5-8 lug swap.
on my friends solid axle dana 44 (79 F-150 donor) he used chevy knuckles (outers), dodge hubs, chevy rotors, i forgot which wheel bearings, ford spindles, chevy claipers/brakes and warn premium locking hubs from a 90ish F-150. its a hodge-podge of parts but it works.
i am almost 100% sure the chevy 10 bolt outers/etc will work because its basically a dana 44 that GM copied.
