Looks great! What all did you do? The heads for sure, but I'm new here (coupla months is all I've had my IDI) so I don't think I read about your issues from a year ago.

Heh, I have a hard enough time getting things put back together after a few days....I can't imagine tearing something apart and not touching it for a year! Congrats on getting it running, and good look with the moss/mold/mildew/whatever that grew in the cab in the meantime :(

Good job! After all the trials and tribulations you've been thru, it's got to be more than gratifying to "Hear the Thunder"

Congrat's on a good job. Feels good when you hear that first sound of the diesel starting up...

You got that right. My truck had 3500 miles put on it in the last year because it had to sit 9 mos while finding the time to do the tubo, IC, IP and injectors.

But it did sound sweet to hear it come alive again.

Congratulations!! Wonderful feeling, eh?

I remember when I first got my engine fired up after doing the heads...and then I had to clear out the cab and the bed before I could take the truck for a spin LOL It's amazing what tools, spare parts, etc can find their way into the truck. I wasn't helped by the fact that my tailgate was my workbench LOL

It is great but limited space is harder to clean up!

Thunder is right, the tail pipe and muffler were rotten out so i took them off!

Cool.....:)
It's funny how the whole truck turns into a
rolling storage locker during these jobs. LOL

Rolling? it was setting in the same spot for a year!:rotflmao
i even think some little seeds took root?

Yer valve covers need paint...

heh heh, good job.

Adrianspeeder

I know I know, was going to do that just got tired of not having my truck on the road maybe one day??

Also on the first road trip the battery light came one and volt gauge was setting on 9? bought a new alternator, still the same tried my spare volt reg and it looked good until i gave it fuel and at 2500 it was showing 17!
went and bought a new one tonight and all is well!!!!

Hey "The Warden", I was just in you neck of the woods this evening. Rolled right through Pacifica on our way to and from Half Moon Bay for a little bank fishing and relaxation.
Mike
mike-
you spend too long by the coast and your truck is going to look like The Warden's neighbor's truck
