WMO mixin

ok so i started filtering and mixing my WMO today and i was dumping a jug i had full of what i thought was oil but its gear oil is it ok to run gear oil through or no,

yesterday i was like *** is that smell then i rembered that i put gear oil in the tank lol

ok cool yea i mixed a batch and mixed it with fuel and dumped it in the truck i was happy to see the tank go from a little below 3/4 to full lol

Been running 75% Diesel/25% blend of gear oil, motor oil, tranny fluid, whatever I can get for 1k miles so far, no problems...

they say anything to scare ya. any petrol will work fine filtered down to 5 microns.
ATF would be one of the top fluids on my hunting list.
have to pay to get that stuff...

Yeah, that is what I heard as well with the newer transmission fluids like Mercon V.
I was told by my retired mechanic friend however that Dextron III was safe for diesels. He runs it in all of his equipment without any issues.

I think trans fluid burns the best actually, just make sure its clean as trans fluid does tend to have more metal in it than motor oil.
