Where is the OIl pressure sending unit

My gauge is funky and I want to ground the wire to see if it is the gauge or sending unit

Well I grounded it out and the gauges moves from PEGGED Zero to 1/32" So it is a good assumption the gauge or wiring is bad

Yeah if you unpluged it and you grouned it and the gauge goes through a full sweep then it is your sender

Or are you saying it only moves 1/32"

Yes. the gauge went from pegged low to barely on the red in low.

I put a mechanical Sunpro Gauge in. Now you can see the ACTUAL oil pressure

I've have one in my pulling truck for YEARS with not one issue. Furels are tight and a grommet where it passes thru the firewall

I have VDO pressure senders on my Detroit, love mechanicals! My tach is still cable drive too. When the cables go bad they sing to me like a mariachi band full of maracas
