you have your trans kickdown hooked up all wrong.
the spring is supposed to be hooked up to your kickdown lever on the pump and the spring you have hooked up from the pump to the kickdown rod is the throttle return spring.

That spring is supposed to be tied in with the kick down rod, but its hard to see how the rod is arranged from that angle. Maybe take another pic at a different angle so we can better see what you did.

Will do, first thing tomorrow morning. ;Sweet

The large spring is hooked up to the "kick-down rod"...not correct?
And the thin one I'm drawing a blank on...I should have taken a pic prior to tear down...figures I go thru the whole IP/injector replacement and I get lost with two friken springs >duh!

Here you go. Not mine but it shows it pretty well although it's in backwards. The little 'jog' should be on the kickdown rod end.

Thank's, but this doesn't even look remotely familiar.
That pic appears to be a 6.9 I have a different bracket etc.

That large long spring goes from the throttle ball end down to the lower part of the advance bracket. You will see a "V" notch in the lower bracket. It hooks up there and really hard to see from any direction. You have the same bracket as both pictures.

I did see that "V" way down on the bracket but didn't see any scratches on it from where a spring would have made contact...and you say the other end of the big/heavy spring simply hooks to the ball end of the throttle?
Ok...then that leaves me with the thin/smaller spring...
Let me go take a few better pics ;Sweet
Hmmm, hows this look ?
I now see how the small spring goes. However for the big spring there's a little hole just forward the throttle ball >if I hook it in that hole and connect the other end to the "V" in the lower bracket the spring gets hung up on the advance solenoid.

The last picture looks fine with the springs but the other pic is blurry and suxs.. I really can't see very well in the blurry pic. Another note. The bracket that the cold advance solenoid resides in can be adjusted forwards and backwards if needed for solenoid ingagement. I just found this out when I changed my injection pump and had no cold advance but I did on my Moose pump.

Yes there is a slight amount of movement front/back on the cold solenoid bracket...I have mine as far towards the front of the truck as it will go and it's still holding the rpm's up at 750. As I mentioned in my other thread the IP idle screw turned out won't drop rpm's to the required 650 rpm.

That solenoid plunger is adjustable. Its either a 1/4 or 5/16 hex. I adjusted mine out a long way to make it work on cold starts.

Ray, are you saying the high idle solenoid is still contacting the throttle lever? Yes, the high idle solenoid is adjustable and it takes a 1/4" wrench. You can screw it in and out. It has a very fine thread, so it won't move very fast.

Idle is down...took several turns of the plunger
I liked it better at 750...the engine sounded nasty(good) ;Sweet
