I know that the stock Wheels on my truck are 16 inches tall but how wide are they? I found wheels on craigslist on a 93-97 truck and he says there 10 inches wide. Will these work on my truck. I think the bolt pattern is the same from 83-97 correct.

I can't tell you about the width but the bolt pattern is identical on F-Series trucks from 83-97 at least. They changed to the metric bolt pattern in trucks on the Super Duty. The Super Duty E-Series vans even up to 2004 at least will fit our trucks. Personally I like the aluminum bullet hole wheels for the '94-97 PSD truck and the last IDIs.

16x6 and 16x7 is standard for pickups and vans. anything larger didn't come from the factory. Just for your own reference, I have 16.5x10 alu rims on my '86 f250 4x4 and don't have any hit or rub issues.

towcat, what size tires are you running?

Fordguy, your probably going to need to run 315/75's with them and that means 2-4" lift.

An 85 would have come with 16x6 wheels as stock. 16x7's were available later.

10" wide wheels would take a very wide tire to work properly. EXPENSIVE tires. Assuming you are going to drive the truck to school, work, etc I'd stick with 16x7's and 235/85R16's or 265/75R16's if it will be seeing off-road use. Big big tires can kill you financially when you are young (or even old ).

If I had to lift the truck to fit them then its not worth it. Diesel JD I totally agree with you on the factory 93-97 wheels, if I found a set of them would they go on without any hassle? I emailed the guy yesterday before I started this post and there has been no reply, so I guess he's already sold them.

i ran 305-70-16's on 16x8's my 91 250 4x4 for about a week with out any problems , it's all in the backspacing really (didnt have time to put on my lift but NEEDED the tires )

single....235/85R16 also 245/75R16 sidewalls stayed pretty square.
duals....215/85R16 and 235/85R16
16.5x10....33x12.50x16.5 $140ea (cheap "D" range tires AS/AT)

I've got 2 new in the box I'll sell ya. They were "takeoffs" from a conversion van company. They are 94-97 alum. Alcoa Ford wheels with 2wd front center caps. Caps can be cut for 4wd. PM me if your interested or want pics.

hey boys i have a chance at a set of chrome 8 lugs wheels off of a 89 e350, they should fit on my truck, correct? hell he only wants 20 bucks for full set of wheels and tires, im gonna get it anyway...but yeah let me know.
