Honestly it's a bit refreshing. People around here would rather flame each all day more than just talk about smokey old broke diesels. The vulgarity was getting a bit much..

Google IS the Devil...
Ad revenue is the ONLY reason these server hosts even allow us a venue at all.
The pc police start in easy at first then tighten the screws on the owner.
Do realize this site is an investment of both time and money for shaggy (site owner) and with the snowflake storm sweeping the nation like a war on common sense, we will not win.
Thus we need to dance with the Devil we know.

My .02

um rusgo *** you talking about?
Honest question...

you want flamefesting?
go check out : pir ate 4x4 a few years back, then see what the sellout did to it.
while the flaming crap gets OLD pdq, we got one of the most laid back sites I visit...

This is my go to site. Very easygoing. If people get annoyed with someone, they handle it and move on. Like it's supposed to be. Don't let the word police take hold. And Google definitely is evil. They need to be broken up and regulated.

What's it take (in terms of $) to keep this "beast" alive, WITHOUT CENSORING?

Not to poke the proverbial "bear", but ... we got "crickets" on this?

I'm really interested in the answer to the questions:
** How many annual $ would each member have to commit to keep this the way that we like it?
** How many annual $ divided by "Supporting Members"?

I'm not opposed to change. In fact, I embrace it (I live in the commercial construction world).
However, as a "Supporting Member" of the forum, I'd like an answer to these questions.
I truly intend no disrespect.

Boss Man owns more than this joint, thus it may not be an option for him to self support this place.

just saying, my new rockcrawling site (new forum) owner has let us learn some of the inside scoop on his new site.
could be , could be NOT...

I don't remember being given the opportunity to vote (as a fellow
"sponsor/supporting member").
Bye Bye "1A".
Hello dark side.

Help me understand: What's it take to "rebuke" the AI/PC B ullshi T?

Just my opinion, but personally, I think cussing lowers the standards of any worthwhile conversation.

Censorship of cussing can have it advantages.

But it always seems to only be the camel's nose, poking through the tent flap. Before you know it, the camel itself is in, crapping all over the tent...

I may be mistaken, but I honestly think the owner of this forum is smart enough not to let the camel proceed any further.

I hope you're making the correct assumptions.
1st Ammendment lost is lost forever.

This forum has been (as long as I remember) extraordinarily "tame".
No need, from my perspective, to censor us.
