what is this? under dash module w/cut wires

I was looking under my dash this morning to get an idea of what I need to do to get my trailer brake controller hooked up and this is something I noticed. what is it? looks like the wires have been cut?

ON second thought it looks like a fuel shut off switch from when the truck was a gasser.

Glad Mel was able to explain what it was. I naver have seen one of those. So now I learned something new.. Thanks guys...

Yup sure is. Probably went bad and was jumped for the truck to start. Had one go bad on a ranger one time. That was about the last safety switch I jumped and it finally started

Yuppers and I'm thinking of pulling one and installing into my Electric lift pump circuit so I can have a shut off in case of boo boo..



Just saying I like that idea!
