as for me.I will go with a screaming jimmy if I repower anything that had an IDI in it....No splatterpillar for me or Cumapart.Give me a straight piped 8V92T with Jakes!!!(Ok,so it is too big to fit in anything smaller than a peterbilt!)
We had some 8v92's in some of our rear engine school busses in Cali, we also had quite a few 671's in our old crowns. I love the sound of a 2 cycle diesel.
The 8v92's were loud as hell, we could here them several blocks away in some of our neighborhoods. Sounded great!
My favorite part of the N-14 conversion, is that it would still pass PA state inspection, since the gas engine is in place, and There are no changes to the factory exhaust system.
There would be no need to get a modified title!!!!
