What coolant and SCA do you run with your aluminum radiator?

Taking with Jerry at Rodney Red when he built my radiator, I asked him specifically about which coolant he recommended for his radiators. He said, "good 'ol green ethylene glycol coolant." So that's what I'm running. I have a FleetGuard coolant filter precharged with 8 units of DCA4.

Is 100% A-OK for aluminum radiators, with nothing added other than to mix 50/50 with distilled water?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but it's looking like my radiator has sprung a leak and paying $400 for a OEM-like unit versus $250 for an aluminum job seems like a no-brainer if I do it right.

Yup! Good to go with the SCAs already in it.

It doesn't come right out and say "it's good for aluminum components in the system" but it does say it meets the specs for all the newer cars and trucks, and most of them do have aluminum radiators with plastic tanks.

We use a Low Silicate coolant with SCA's added and it's made by Trinity.

I have been thinking of switching to Evans waterless found a dealer here in Colorado 41.00 per gallon is it worth it??? If not how often do you use the additive
