I noticed this leak on the bottom three holes of the radiator guard, took it to the mechanics to have other work done on the truck and told them to see if they could find the leak.

I was told they could not find a leak in the coolant and nothing was leaking from the radiator.

Got the truck back drove it around for work for a could of days & parked it during a winter storm.

Some melted snow from a radiator leak caught my eye this morning, check photos.

What do you guys think is going on here, leak keeps disappearing and re-appearing.
The truck is plugged in as well of that causes any difference.

Well it will either be the side tanks, the lower hose, upper, or the radiator cap. Just gotta put eyes on it.

might be a " cold water " leak,, ive seen it many times. when things are cold, ( or at a certain temp,) things will leak. when it warms up, it will stop leaking.
Thats the very basic idea of it,,, try checked all the hose clamps, keep an eye on things every now and then,,, it will start to leak when it hits a certain temp, hope this helps..

I agree with this. Go around and tweak all the hose clamps. I do not see how a mechanics shop keeps this from happening when installing new hoses. I think if I had my own shop and had a job where I installed new hoses, I would finish the job and make another appointment for free 1 month later to go back and tighten all the hose clamps on all the new hoses I had replaced.

I haven’t driven the truck since the photos were taken and moved some snow under the radiator, nothing is leaking consistently but something did leak from the radiator for sure!

I am going to tighten the claps and see what happens next, got some free time today so I’ll keep you guys updated on if they are loose or not, probably a cold temp leak like what y’all are saying! Thanks for the help!
