I bought some today and the guy told me i didnt need any friction LS additives. Is he right? Would it hurt to add some anyway?

That's a synthetic blend, it may not need it. Try without, if it chatters, you'll need to draw a few ounces out and add the LS additive, no harm done. Most full synthetics don't need the additive.

I had a leak in the rear end when I bought the truck. Thought it was the pinion seal. Took it to a local rear end shop it ended up being the pin on the shaft to line up the yoke. They cleaned it up and put it back together and no leak.
