Anyone have the part # the U joint and strap for the driveshaft on a CC DRW truck. The one on the rear axle side of the driveshaft has about 1/16" play side to side on the yoke, I replaced it with a new U joint and straps and .75" bolts and I think I still have the same play. Measured the old one with the new one and they are the same size too. When I replaced this U joint years ago I don't remember the old U joint having any play. Suggestions?

Thank You.

Precision joint for at the transmission/transfer case is 434, at the rear axle it is 434, center shaft is 354. the bolt kit for front and rear is 534-10. Mine had a slight bit of play. I welded a cross peice of steel across the yoke end on the rear axle so it fits in there doesnt have much play but keeps it from slinging if it does come loose. I was having issues with the caps wanting to break or slip when hauling heavy load and on soft ground. so i welded the steel across the yoke. it looks a little weird but it seems to work and still allows the flex.

It reads to me like the yoke is wearing out.

I have had the same issues on various trucks, both at the differential end and at the transmission end.

Swapping on a brand-new yoke always took away the side-to-side play.

Put the old yoke under the seat so you will never get caught out somewhere and need it. ;Sweet

Ford had a few different sizes on the rears, all with slightly different cap sizes. I just went through this. They used the 1330, 1330 special, and the 1350. 1330 special is a Ford only size.
