I’m really confused here…
My 87 f250 6.9 single cab long bed didn’t have the front tank in it when I bought it. Somebody had taken it out to run the exhaust right there. I finally decided to get all the parts to add a (19 gal) front tank back in, but I don’t see how these straps (second picture) will work. This is the only style I was able to find, so I ordered them from bronco graveyard even though I was skeptical. Well now my tank and other parts arrived and they just don’t look like they’ll work. Am I not seeing something or do I need to get something like these (third pic) that I just found on ebay? Bronco graveyard has a pair that looks the similar but says theyre for a 16 gallon tank. Haven’t found any new straps for sale that look like this style, although that’s what they look like in all the videos I could find of people dropping the tank.

My guess is that you'll have to bend the straps in order to make them fit around your tank. Spectrapremium.com shows the same flat straps for a front 19 gallon tank too.

Wonderful. I’ll just return em and get the ones off ebay. Seems weird to me that none of the places that sell those flat straps say they need to be bent :dunno

The straps are thin, there isn't much effort required to form them. Truthfully with the way most NOS pre bent parts fit, you will probably spend more time trying to straighten the pre bent ones so you can get the bends correct.
