I have a few oil cooler assy's to test out in July when I get back to Ca. I remember somebody here made a tester. I'd like to borrow it and test out the coolers as well as getting brian s. to dril, tap and weld one up too.
thanks.

That would be Bill Miller from TDS (94+ PSD's and 6.9 side of things - He walks on both sides of the force). Can't remember Bill's screen name off hand.

I hope he got it back. Last time I spoke with him about it, he had loaned it to someone who did not return it promptly. :backoff

What for? I have a spare that I want to rebuild put on, now I got know know how I can mod it ;)
this is for the tester plate for the oil cooler assy. Bill built one so you can test them off the truck. Its powered with compressed air. he might be a little worked up about loaning it out again, but I have a tach gauge cluster that might loosen up his fingers. he's been looking for a good circuit board for some time :D

It was the drill tap and weld part that I was really wondering about ;)

I borrowed Bill's tester...and, actually, I think I'm the one who was so late returning it :sorry: I actually wound up paying him a token amount as retribution for having it so long (long story on why I kept it so long), although he tried really hard to refuse. I DID return it, though...but, not before taking a sheet of paper and making an outline drawing of both plates and of the bar that connects them. towcat, if you want to borrow the sheet of paper to have your machinist make one, just let me know...although, depending on the cost, I might nicely ask you to ask him to make a second one. ;)
