UEM dualoy pistons on 6.9?

Has anybody ever used or even heard of these cylinders being used on an idi? My papa has them in his 12 Valve and they seem really stout. I used them on my build. Same deal, machinist wanted .020 over pistons. I only have a couple of months of use on them, so no real review here. But I can say that they did not seem as nicely made as the ones that came out. The casting finish on them is very visible. I hear that the original pitons are cast, but they are smooth enough to be mistaken for forged. The UEM are clearly cast.

I just picked up my pistons from the machine shop probably a half hour ago. I ended up using silv-o-lites because of the price and I’ve read more about them before. They seem to look normal. I’m not an engine builder, this is my first rebuild, but they look good.

Looks interesting, doesnt look like they offer pistons for the idit, would rather not have this happen again when I build the engine for the race truck back up
