Turbos

I have an Hx 40 and also a hx35..I was wondering is it possible to take the 35 exhaust housing and compressor and combine it with the 40 inlet. Wanted to get some input before i take the 40 off of my truck ....The reason for doing this is that im only getting about 32 psi out of the 40 and was wondering if this would work in order to get more boost. I also have a feeling im just not running enough fuel and my exhaust gasses are just not hot enough to turn the big compressor.

Any help would be great thanx
