timed at 9.5*

also, is there a way to to increase the RPM's?
mine seems to die out @ 3100-3200. maybe less timing?

im running @ 8 BTDC and will try 7 BTDC next spring.
some advantages of running on the more retarded side of 8 as apposed to higher than 8 is reduced cylinder pressures and much quicker turbo spool.

however you and i are running a very drastically different quality of fuel.we don't have that high quality California liquid gold, high cetane diesel here.so your engine is going to accept more advance much better than mine could make use of.
that said though, yes.do try 8 BTDC also.i think you'll probably still like the quicker spool and smoke reduction you'll no doubt get off idle and probably have a better upper end.shoot, just to reduce cylinder pressure with this much fuel is most likely worth it alone.
