i have used it about 5 times now.

literally as easy as that.
took longer to find the air hammer, hook up the attachment and air line than it did to remove the fan clutch.


JUST MAKE SURE YOU GO THE RIGHT WAY!

and no need to do it with the belts on.

Well the greats of the fan clutch issues have spoken. This tool works. Sadly I do not have one nor do I see getting one either. I need 220 in my shop so my air compressor will run. I need air for more than just that. No air keeps me from doing everything fun... For me to remove the fan clutch I use a 36 and 18 inch breaker bar. Also I ALWAYS use blue loctite on the clutch to water pump threads. Read way too many stories of poorly installed fan clutches unscrewing when the engine stop running. These fans and the clutch weigh an incredible lot of weight. Because of the extreme high compression our engines suddenly stop spinning. A poorly tightened fan clutch will break loose and spin off the threads into the radiator. It has happened to several members. Know what the torque is on these threads.... 185 ft lbs.... This is why we use long wrenches on this.

I would like to machine a 1/2" square hole in my wrenches for torque wrench....185 lbs ft is alot....

But wham...braaaaaaap that nuts tight with an impact ....

I made one out of some scrap 5/8" flat bar I had laying around. A sharp point in the air chisel makes a fine "locator dent" and stays put. One half second trigger pull and it was off.

Total cost maybe $5

Know what the torque is on these threads.... 185 ft lbs.... This is why we use long wrenches on this.

I'm not sure where you got 185 ft-lbs from but you WILL break your water pump threads off for sure ( don't ask)
This is from All data on a 93 f350 7.3l they say 61Nm or 45 ft-lbs torque for fan clutch to water pump.

I used to use my air compressor and air tools all the time. Now I mostly use battery powered impact, just because its quicker and easier. There are some they have really impressive numbers.
