The timing cover is warped. Is this Severe??

Discovered the severity of warpage of the timing cover plate. I know that there is a gap or valley in the block where the timing gears be oiled and the water is pumped right there so why, how and what the truck?!
Can you all Check out these pictures and let me know if anyone has had this?

I wouldn't sweat it, usually that gap is taken up by the paper gasket and siliicone gasket maker.

Thanks for the reply Nero! I took the advice from KansasIDI and torqued more than specs called for: 15ft.lbs. And went to 20 and 25 on the top two and bottom two. I hope that scared the plate straight. Water pump has held coolant so far and no mixing of oil which was my big concern because, if the seal between the block and timing cover was compromised. Pressure from the third and firm attempt should hold. I do want to replace the timing cover and harmonizer pulley and the fan pulley. There is a lot of engine vibration. I believe the timing has been advanced but it seems excessive.
