Hey all, just got my first oil burner a couple weeks ago and I love it. Well worth the $1000 I paid....even though it stopped starting yesterday.

Nice looking truck! There is only so many things that can stop these motors from starting, no computer involvement makes it really simple. The folks on this site are a wealth of diagnostic information and are more than happy to lend a hand. Fire up a thread in the appropriate place and someone will be able to give you some help with the starting problem!

Thanks Can30Diesel. Not sure I would classify working on this motor as simple......but thankfully this really awesome site is filled with everything you could ever want to know about this engine. If only all the knowledgeable folks around here were able to actually turn the wrenches for me. ;)

Well compared to newer diesels these engines are straight forward. Mine was my first ever diesel and I didn't even know how those motors worked before I got the truck. Parts are less expensive as well.
