stock temp gauge question

The thermostat just starts to open at 192, so that's not abnormal. At 230, I start to back out of it and let it cool down, but that has only happend to me once.

at 230 i ease back out of it. But with the diesel rad installed and evans coolant. I don't ever worry about it as its rock solid on at 190-195. I get pissed watching the mechanical gauge sitting at N.

Mine never even gets to N without a load unless Im driving around during the extreme heat with the ac on. With a good load its more like N or O. The highest Ive had it was heavy load on a 5-6% grade, right at the M. As soon as I cleared it she went right back down within a matter of minutes.
