i assume this would be the right place to post this.

my stereo sucks and i would like a cd player. however, the truck is very stiff and i usually tell people to bring a chiropractor with them when they ride in it (rides great with loads, though). i was thinking the marine units but i don't know if they're all that much better. any suggestions?

Are you afraid of skipping? No need to be, just buy any middle of the road head unit and slap it in there. I bought an el-cheapo one time (79.00 @ Checkers) and stuck it in my 79 stepside 4x4 and it never skipped regardless of if I was on road or off road.

I bought a $49 one and in my 1 ton, you have to work to make it skip and it even came with 6 inch round speakers, sounds pretty darn good and picks up signals where many else can't.

I'm getting ready to put a deck in mine. The truck was wrecked before I got it. Now whenever I go over a lot of bumps the stereo gets all staticky, so it is definitely time for a replacement.
