This is probably a stupid question.. I'm installing a Holley red . I have a few spare starter relays and I was wondering if they can be used for constant duty? Or do I need a different type of relay to power the pump?

There are two different kinds and you can't use the intermittent duty ones for continuous. The coil will burn up.
For a Holley pump, the common Bosch-style "ice cube" relay has 30 amp contacts and works just fine.
