well, my truck is almost ready to crank over after installing R&D air cleaner, Billet Aluminum Fuel Rails and Stage 1 Injectors.
The only problem now is the starter went out so can anyone tell me who carries the starter for the K vin model ?
I gave Autozone the vin and still got the wrong starter. We have ORIELLYS and NAPA where I live in CA.

O'Rielly part number
Part #:
R812468B

For that kind of money though listen to Brian. He swears by the Powermaster and his truck is a dd family rig. I went cheaper and got a DB Electric (SND0027 I think is the model number) off of Amazon. Right around a hundred delivered in two days, no core. Powermaster 9050 runs right around 200 - 250 depending on vendor. I have had very good luck with the DB but my truck is not a dd. Some guys have stated DB Electric's QC has gone downhill.

Most likely the problem you are having is the counter mirror fogger is giving you a powerstroke starter.

Ok I did order the Power Master... shipped over night so stay tuned and let’s see what we get. What I don’t understand is when they find a part doesn’t fit with all correct information why don’t they update their data base. I see the vin tag says 93 so is that what I should be asking for ?
I love this truck but it’s getting very Old getting the wrong parts Constantly.

94 was a split year for IDI and the powerstroke. I whole heartedly agree that a competent employee using a today's databases should pickup on the engine code difference within the vin.

However reality states otherwise.

My wife drives a 2012 Mazda 3. Two different engines were available. Her motor is roughly 25% of production. Even Rock Auto sends me the wrong air filter when I order based on VIN time to time.

First 3 of vin are manufacture
4 is GVW
5,6,7 are body type
8 is engine NA IDI is M, Turbo IDI is K
9 is a check digit
10 is model year (L=1990, R=1994 O is not used)
11 is assembly plant
12 -17 is sequence number

Paid 190$ for powermasters off eBay for my 83 and 88. About 25k on the 83 and it’s still strong

Yes, there 3 diesel engine options in 94

7.3 IDI N/A
7.3 IDI Factory Turbo
7.3 PSD

Also, if it's a 94 and has an automatic it is an IDI. They didn't put an auto behind the 7.3 PSD in 94.

Type 4, that link is for the non turbo starter and when I go to their advanced search options there aren’t any for a 93 f 250 7.3 turbo IDI automatic.
