Started Knocking today.....

My truck started to knock after I got over 55mph. It doesnt sound like its coming from anyone side of the engine, it sounds like its coming from the intake? It is rhythmic and increases with the rpm and sounds kind of like a thudding noise. When I put my hand over the intake the noise went away. There is a very very slight, barely able to see haze out of the exhaust. Blow by out of the oil dip stick tube looks more forced out than usual. Hoping for the best, prepairing for the worst...I was going to buy a fresh set of rebuilt heads and an ip and injectors for cores on Thursday. Should I wait?

What you are describing really sounds like valve guides issues. At this point it sounds like the heads need to come off or at least check all the injectors. See if one is hanging open causing the intake noise.
