Wife decreed I had to get it running before I can start modding it. She appreciated my argument that it was easier to mod it now vs. later, but was tried of me whining about not being able to drive it and said I was too old to sit in the drivers seat pretending. Sigh....women.

No no no, that will never work. Get that axle out of there, I guess I could be kind enough to give you my superior ttb axle in exchange while I suffer with the pos d60. No need to thank me, thats just the kind of guy I am.

A RSK with S/D springs does end up riding VERY nice, but, it also ends up TALL, and you have to futz around with axle location, as the S/D springs are longer on the front by about 2" with no load, so, it ends up pushing the axle back 3-4" once the weight is on them. You need to push the spring bracket as far forward as you can, and I'm going to end up using a zero rate block on mine to finalize the axle location.
You can see where the axle ended up on my truck, and things are sitting about 2" forward of where you'd have put the bracket with stock springs.
It also ended up being a good 6-7" taller than a stock F350, and those are stock S/D springs. The truck has a 3" body lift also... Those are 38.5's on there, and as you can see, I'm not exactly hurting for room.

She already gripes it's too tall...so I don't think I'll get spousal unit approval for that one. Besides, I'm setting this up to be the motor for a future 5er....

Just an update....
Motor and trans are in. The wife did good helping, the only major issue we had was the cherry picker got parked on her hair. 5 beers later, I'm still celebrating.
