I have some info on ford reman injectors.
For some years now I have been buying what I call "orphan" injectors that have come up on ebay.
Dates of reman are from 97 to 2000.
The earlier ones with the rubber band around them were the best of the bunch.
All have been ford reman and various codes. As it turns out whoever is doing these things for them has no clue or care what the pattern is or the tips they use after cleaning.
I have one d code that pops at 2800 psi. and it is a straight stream.
Most of the others have no pattern whatsoever. And I even re cleaned them as even fuzz debris will mess with the pattern.

So after much testing and cussing I would have to recommend against ford remans.
Also I have 2 stanadyne G codes that have the same part number tip in them as the new D codes so even they just stuff and ship. LOL

Interesting. I came across a set of the rubber band injectors you were talking about in the 88 we picked up recently, did not idle well at all. Haven’t bothered to pop them but think I will now, granted idk how many miles are on them.

Yeah, and I just confirmed with my friend that owns a diesel shop here that he will not install them if a customer brings him a set.
Even now.
So it looks like I have a bunch of random clean bodies to put new tips in.LOL
