Today I got the truck as ready for the road trip as it's going to get. I cleaned most of the crap out of the bed, I installed my back up alternator (the other one gad been acting up and I'm convinced that it's the regulator), the picture is before I reinstalled the vacuum pump belt, then I took it to a car wash since it hasn't rained much around for over a year. naturally I found out that the radio that I took out last night wasn't the problem, it's the amp. At least it still plays, eventually. Judging by the tracks on top of the air cleaner, there must be a critter hanging around.

Well bust out the Furlin Husky cassettes and you'll be ready to be "looking at the world through a windshield"!

Today, I got loaded up for my trip. Then, at home, I cleaned all of the accumulated crap out of the cab, and even tan my shop vac over the floor quickly. I had planned to leave by about 7:00 tonight and drive over night to get there early in the morning, but the customer wanted me to wait until about noon tomorrow so that he can go bow hunting in the morning. Now, I'm getting some sleep, waking up at 1:00 and then leaving by 2:00.

Well I was wrong. I saw several Fed Ex semis. The last one was really strange. It was going about 40 in a 65 at about 10:45 ay night. No hazards, nothing obviously wrong. It didn't take long for me to go around.

Since I got home at about 2:30 this morning, it counts as today. I took the previously posted spiral staircase down to Lake Texoma, OK. There was some pretty nice scenery around there. The last two were farther to the north, on the way home.

Lol, either derated or (more likely) overloaded.

I was a little bit overdue. I won't admit how much!

I'm loving that "fumoto" drain valve. Definitely going to get one for the other truck. Someday I really need to fix that front main leak though....
