My dad was a regular cab short bed guy. It would drive him nuts to see my broncos and crew cab, he couldn't stand such things.

My bullnose line up. My other bronco is parked across the yard. It's red and white, I've put pictures of it on here before. The black one is my "project" the blue one is parts bronco and alas.....my dually waiting for me to have time and money.

I installed a new radio, checked the coolant, checked the oil, and added some power steering fluid. I'm getting ready for a road trip this weekend. Tomorrow, I'll get more involved. The radio took long enough.

Just checked the glow plug harness for continuity. Also removed and checked that the glow plug light still works in the 86 cab, because I’ve never seen it do it’s light test when the key is in the run position.

I tested the light by removing it, and applying positive and negative 12v headers to the light cluster until I found the combination that made Glow Plug illuminate that brilliant red.

Since the light works and I’ve never seen it turn on, I’m led to believe there’s a latch up harness that might not be sending the signal to the Glow Plug light.


Has anyone changed the color tint of the idiot lights? Say instead of a red change it to a green or blue?

I happen to like my big SUV….. lol

I liked mine too, but sure missed the utility of a truck bed. That's why I pulled the Bronco's transmission/transfer case to put it in my Blue Truck. The engine ran great, but had the 6.9 external crack so that was already gone.

I like my bronco, it really fun to drive but you can't haul nothing. I enjoy the tow truck, it's fun to drive...... and boy do I get some looks in that thing, but you CAN'T haul anything! I really can't wait to get to work on my dually, dang I miss having a truck.

That's it exactly. I hated having to hook onto a trailer in order to haul anything bigger than a few bags of groceries.
