Hauled my toy to play in the mud.

My buddy texted me saying he got one of my new steer tires mounted up, so I picked it up heading home.

Got halfway home and stopped to find my front brakes smoking from the caliper dragging.... It's loose now so I'm going to leave it until payday. I'm broke...

Got the new tire put on when I got home!

Pictures of the toy?

After 2 hrs on the new tensioner, chirp during upshifts started again :( (See my chirp thread)
But at least it's not smoking ;Poke and the a/c worked pretty well on a sunny hot humid afternoon.

I was uploading one when you replied lol! I'll add another in a minute. Nothing special, 99 Dakota. Free is free!

You must be registered for see images attach
My husband's father gave him his 01 Dakota when he knew he was probably never going to drive again.

It is horrible on gas (his commute about 80 mioes a day round trip) but a lot of fun in the snow! Haven't tried mud yet [emoji48][emoji48]

Hey, come on now, You can't just start out with an intro like that and then say there won't be a build thread! At least give us a backstory. Hell, if even half the trucks on the forum could talk...:popcorn

I got my cent back haha sorry :)

Need to replace the entire rear rotted out (ROTTED OUT!!) rear tub and fenders and front fenders as well as the transmission (this is the third transmission my dad blew up on me haha, revenge for my teen years?)

Changed fuel filter the dummy light comes on at 55 mph but truck had no stalling starts with up no bogging at all,now on to a small squealing when I turn the a/c on since it's getting in the upper 80's n I'm my grandma's driver.

Can that be a loose pulley since by tensior n belt are new

Could be a lot of things, unfortunately! ... is there oil on any pulleys or belt (even the new one)? Is the belt sufficiently tensioned? When the a/c load goes on the belt is working harder ;)
It can also be a bad bearing in the a/c clutch (or compressor itself).
Can you localize the noise (rod or screwdriver touching the part, handle pressed against your ear)?

Belt is tight not checked the bearing just does it on Max a/c on normal setting no squeal or chirp might just change everything will be driving a "03 dodge caravan as soon as I fix a leaking wheel hub

After an entirely too late start, I did manage to make some decent progress on the parts cleaning, painting, and reassembly of my engine. I have the front and rear covers and the water pump on. I decided that I should hurry and put the oil pan on before I quit for the night, so I cleaned the inside of it out one last time and got it all put on. I turned around to find a bar to help turn the engine stand back right side up so I could set the valve covers on and cover it with trash bags to help minimize the dust getting inside. Oh frick!!! There was the oil pump still sitting there waiting to be installed so, HOORAY for being in a hurry! Now I get to take it back off and do it again right this time. I think I'm going to button up the top end first so I don't do something like this up there.
