Seatbelt Options

I’ve noticed that driver side seat belt in my 91 single cab does not lock up when I pull out quickly on it nor does it retract and roll itself back up. I know it should do both because the passenger side does so. The only place I’ve seen any OEM style replacements are LMC and they are quite expensive. I know junkyards are an option but for something that could be potentially life and death id like to see if there are any new options out there that work. Have you guys used anything other than the stock ones? Or is there something simple I can fix in my current retractor assembly to take care of this? Thanks

Digging up an old thread because I have the same issue and can't find any info.

Not sure if they would even be in business as it has been several years since I contacted them and it was for a car.

Some retractable belts are only inertia lock. Maybe one has been changed before.

Mine (driver's side) is fully extended and won't retract. It just happened recently.
The passenger side seems to work fine. On that one I noticed that if the door button is pushed in (or the door is closed) there's a ratcheting sound when moving the belt. No sound when the door is open.
Driver's side door button has no effect on getting it to retract. I don't mind not wearing a seat belt but the cops might some day.

Seat belts plus is around 80. Seat belt planet is a little more and has both sides drv and pass for around 180. Both dot approved.

SB+ only goes to 1986 and I have a 1987. SBP, and the others listed above, seem to just offer rebuilds?
I was hoping to just buy something that I could replace mine with.

That’s strange. I just got a brand new set from seat belts plus for 180 or so last month. For my 1990
