Score at the local pick & pull Dana60 and Factory ATS turbo

I went to the local Pick & Pull and found a 94 F-350 crewcab there. I was really surprised when it still had the dana 60 and factory turbo still on it.

I got the dana 60 with all the brackets and steering components along with most of a factory ATS turbo unit for $350 bucks. The only parts I didn't get were the factory turbo air filter housing or the hubs for the axle. Those parts were already gone. Overall I thought it was a good day picking.

The Dana 60 will go into my 93 3/4 ton. The turbo I'll put on the shelf for parts.

Seems like the viewers here will tell you that you got a heck of a deal. Sounds like it was plenty of work getting all that stuff but well worth it... Spare parts a good parks too...

that is insane. The big yard around here wanted top dollar for everything, and then in the end they crushed it all and closed up.

Took me about 3.5 hours of hard wrenching to get it all out. I actually had to make two runs as I ran out of time on Saturday before they closed. I'd seen one other dana 60 truck there a few years ago, but the axle was already gone.

That's the thing about this place. Prices are just on a big sheet. Doesn't matter what it is off of. The prices are funny for example. You buy a door for a Cadillac it's 26.00. You buy a door for a Neon it's 26.00. If the hinges are bolt on they are 7.00 a piece extra. The mirror is an added 20. They kind of nickel and dime ya, but there again if you need it the prices are great.

The dana 60 without hubs was 125.00 plus 25.00 core. Then the Tierods were $20 and the panhard bar was $15.00. They also charged like $20.00 for all the u-bolts and plates. So in the end I had about $250 in the axle and about $100 in the turbo. The turbo was $50 and then like $8.00 for each valve cover and $10.00 ea for the cross over pipe and up pipe.

I'm anxious to go back, but skeptical to find another one.
