I've been trying to figure out which of those Rotunda kits, if any, are worth having. Is there any kind of pattern to the part numbers that tell us that it's for our trucks? Is there a list of the Rotunda tools for our trucks?

ROTUNDA TKIT-1983-D6.9 is the mechanic's kit that was produced when the 6.9 came out in the 1983 truck. You would use most of these when rebuilding engine. Some are for injector & IP replacement/tuning, fan clutch replacement, etc. These can go as high as $275 for complete set. Mine was $75 but that was when so many dealerships were going under.

There is an injector tester on there now. I am 'tool poor' at present.

Same here. Noticed a lot of eBay stores separate the tools & lists them for RIDICULOUS prices & shipping. Blackhat used to have decent prices. Is where I bought a few tools way back.
