Hey I found a Rotomaster turbo (company that I've never heard of) in a truck about to get crushed, was thinking about grabbing it. It's on a 6.9l. Rotomaster hi-flo A/R85... I've never heard of this thing so I was wondering if any of you have and what your opinions are on it, it's been storming here and the junk yard is too muddy for me to go out there and I was wondering if I should even bother? It's on a 2wd 6.9l looks like maybe an 85 or so manual. Here are some pictures of it.

Do you guys have any thoughts, info, opinions? Should I grab it?

my early banks turbo is a rotomaster which is a standard Garrett T3/T4 style turbo. You can get the model # on the backing plate of the compressor.

I'd grab it if it's super cheap(is it free?)

That does look like a Turbo Engineering kit.

My early Banks kit also has a Rotomaster, an A/R 60 (TO4). It's rebuildable, which I will be doing soon to mine.

I guess this is kinda reviving an old thread but I figured I could put some more pictures and info up.

This is a truck that i bought off of a neighbor that I've always had plans for rebuilding and using in my own truck. The way the kit mounts the air cleaner is similar to older hypermax kits and the CTS turbo kits that come from Kamloops BC and the special turbo manifold is the same idea as turbo engineering manifolds but executed better.

Its a rather long cross over pipe to come to this side but you can see how they made it so the exhaust from the opposite bank can up right into the base of the turbo instead of having it run through the whole length like the Turbo engineering picture I've seen.

Here you see the long and short of it. The only identification is on the inside face of the manifold where it reads BAE. I'll post a picture of it but the turbo is a Rotomaster HI FLO T04BRM14
A/R 85 compressor and A/R 96 exhaust side.

Cool deal. That manifold is definitely different from the turbo engineering one that I have.

I'd put a dual diaphragm booster in, and a bigger master cylinder, guts wise, ended up 1 3/4 inch longer so cut the old pipe off and made another one with better flow. Picked up some earlier boost, and a bit more responce. Brakes work better too.

From what I remember, that looks fairly similar to the early Hypermax that I saw. I certainly don't remember the down pipe running back and over the top of the engine. The pedestal even look closer to what I saw too.
