On a Bullnose, the marker lights in the front fender, facing the side are marker lights only. They are on or off. The do not flash with the turn signal like many GM products. If the tail lights are on, these should be on. Unless someone has rewired them, they do not flash with the turn signals.

I would check the ground for the lights, and trace the wiring into the harness. I’ve not had to chase the marker lights, so I’m not sure where they tie in.

One other question, do the parking lights/front turn signals work properly? Here is how the lights on the front of a bullnose (80-86) work from the factory.

2 clear glass sealed beam headlights, low and high beam. Only illuminated when the headlight switch is pulled all the way out (second detent)

2 amber front facing parking/marker and turn signal light. The light should be on in either switch position (parking or headlight). This light should also flash with the turn signal or hazards flashers.

2 amber side facing marker lamps. They should be on with either switch position. This light does not flash with the turn or hazard lights.

My C6 return light didn't work well either. I found that if I wiggled the shifter arm, I could find a sweet spot where the rear lights would turn on.
