Viton o rings will solve any o ring leakage but you might use an exacto knife on that edge thats usually sharp enough to cut an o ring. As for using some other hose I feel a quality return kit from Mel or Russ will keep you running leak free much longer than the ebay crap we see so often.

1/4 on early trucks, 5/16 on later (never 3/16). Use the proper 5/16 hose and all will be well.

The stuff you specified is ludicrously expensive as well

No need to reinvent the wheel here pal. Just get the kit from Mel or Russ and sit back and relax, knowing that you have everything you need, no mixing and matching, and that it is high quality stuff.

Do it once, do it right.

I too can be corrected but I will wait for Russ or Mel to chime in on this size. I do recall Russ posting the size really was a metric measurement but can't recall what that was .....

early 6mm, late 7 mm. most auto parts kits do not have the german made hose, looks the same but isnt. use what my kits have or EFI barrier hose, its apain to install but works.
