It’s gonna need it real high
When you get ready to paint, and if you can swing the cost, take a look at this stuff: http://monstaliner.com/
I have sprayed the cap and door jambs on my truck with this stuff using an undercoating gun (in my driveway) and it works great!
For 10$ at HF you really can’t beat the purple gun. People knock it but for a quick cheap paint job, it gets it done.
I used that on my hood. Didn't have a clue what I was doing and it turned out pretty good anyway. I just wish I'd stripped the hood first because now all the old paint is peeling off underneath my paint job....
It’s still in process. Gonna need another paint layer. I pulled it out to the sun this evening for some dry time under the big solar heat lamp
This is really a 20ft paint job. But since it started as rust control, it’s okay.
Where's the yellow trim?
Actually it’s a lot darker than J-D green. But hard to tell in pics.
So you'll be using a darker yellow?
Is that the Rustoleum Green? My friend paints all his trailers that color ( doesn't wanna be like everyone else and their black trailers lol )
No it’s majic paint, but it’s my own blend.
Got some more paint on her... I also plan to wet sand and polish.
Looks pretty good from here!
Here’s a brief recap of where it came from.
The first pic is after I washed it down.then I remembered to take a pic for remembrance. It just looked like that!
I’d call it a 20ft paint job
Beats what it was
