Hey all,
Another fellow on here was inquiring about leaf springs and it made me start thinking about my truck. 200k miles on her and the stock springs are tired. I actually have a lean to the drivers side on mine.
I've noticed a few different options.
Auto Truck Spring sells "TufTruck HD coils"
Moog offers two different springs CC844 variable rate and the CC844S Severe duty variable rate
I also see on RockAuto a few that aren't variable rate.
I would assume with this heavy engine I would want the Severe duty ones. I'm personally leaning towards the CC844S that Moog makes. I daily drive this dually and I would think a variable rate spring would be great, but I don't want it too soft just because I'm unloaded. I prefer a firm ride, just not getting tossed around.
Anyone here put new coils in their 2wd? What did you use and how did you like them?
