So my wife was going to babysit grandkids and she called. Truck won’t move. When I got it home and opened up clutch cover plate i found the clutch disk paper thin. what are the torque specs for the mounting bolts for transmission and transfer case? Any tips on replacement that will make it go easier? I purchased a transmission jack at harbor freight.

According to manual the transfer to transmission bolts are 30-40 ft/lbs. Tightened in a star pattern.

The transmission to engine bolts are 39-53 ft/lbs.

Get out your long extensions and a universal and work back where you have room to turn ratchet.

Once you remove transmission crossmember and have the transmission Jack in place (tail of transmission angled down) block the engine in place (jackstand or jack holding front of engine up so it doesn’t change angle for reinstallation.

Hopefully others will add insights.

Make sure you remove the entire shifter. Also carefully inspect the clutch fork for cracks.
