Very good info Bear. I have an ambulance body so I have LOTS of space to mount things. I expect that the more boost the more fuel is required. Or so I have read. I already start smoking with no effort in mild grades. The longer the grade.....yeah. And mine is a 7.3. Right now it is running spectacular. But I would like to tow my 26'5" ft. Jayco with it and travel and work. I don't mind slow, or slower then my 6.4 Hemi, but I don't want 35 or 40 over small hills. The tranny is just horrible designed for the power curve of this engine. It tops out at about 35 in second gear and the jump to 3rd is incredible. Feels like I put the brakes on.

Interesting thread..... I decided not to turbo my 6.9 mostly because of serviceability and haveing had a remote turbo on a Miata that worked well, and was sneaky :) I got thinking about this last night. Will be reading more. Like the OP I only interested in help at higher elevations, not crazy performance. It is what it is and it will never be a hot rod.
