I'm rebuilding a 6.9, and was wondering where is the best place and prices to get parts? What kind are the best pistons to get? Gaskets? Bearings? Lifters? Pushrods? Basicly everything to put new in an idi. Got block and heads at the machine shop, and wanting to get parts so I can get the balancing done and get it back together as soon as I can.

I'm going through the process right now as well. I got my Mahle pistons from Republic Diesel in Louisville, Ky. They were cheaper than other Mahle dealers I called. Mahle would not sell directly to me. Clevite 77 series bearings are good and the best price I could find was with Hypermax. Gaskets..... I'd get Victor Reinz or Felpro. I'd be really surprised if the lifters and (especially) the push rods will need to be replaced. I'd look for Melling or Clevite lifters if they are needed.
